The coronavirus has certainly hit a lot of animal shelters hard. There are more animals that need taking care of and a shortage of supplies for the animals. The virus has made it harder for employees and volunteers at animal shelters to take care of the animals while still maintaining their health. These workers are working at the risk of their own safety to make sure these animals are taken care of.
However, there is still some light at the end of the road. Many shelters have reported that they have cleared out their ENTIRE shelter and all the animals have been adopted. This is due to the many people in the community who have stepped up and taken care of an animal due to their newfound spare time during this pandemic. The coronavirus has resulted in a surge of animal adoptions and shelters could not be any happier.
